• Ability to read blueprints, travelers, and work orders.
• Possesses knowledge of industrial paint types (including epoxy, urethane, powder coat, and primers), proper surface‑preparation methods, and the identification and correction of basic paint defects.
• Ability to properly mix, measure, and apply coatings per specification.
• Strong understanding of safety practices and proper PPE use.
• Basic computer literacy for completing work orders or documentation.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience:

• 1–3 years industrial or manufacturing painting experience.

Special Requirements: (May be required or strongly preferred)

• Respirator fit test.
• Hazardous materials / OSHA training.
• Powder coating certification (if applicable).

• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. Able to lift 65 lbs. from floor to shoulder level occasionally.
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the position, location, and/or customer.
• Ability to stand for extended periods while performing painting, preparation, and finishing tasks.
• Ability to frequently exert the pound force limits for push/pull 50lb f (no wheels) or 100lb f (wheels).
• Requires crawling and working in narrow spaces.
• Requires frequent repetitive movements, i.e. hammering, turning wrenches, screwdrivers and impact tools.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to work with fingers.
• Normal vision with or without corrective lenses.
• Will be required to work at a minimum height of four feet off of the ground.
• Ability to operate overhead cranes, mobile equipment and motor vehicles as required.

Working Conditions:

• Exposed to cold, heat, noise mechanical/electrical fume or odor.
• Will be required on occasion to work more than 8 hours on one shift.
• Requires crawling and working in narrow spaces.
